It’s like Stage 4 metastatic cancer, no matter what department you work in, it will eventually ki-l you. There is no happy place unless you’re a ceo collecting fat bonuses.
Agree with all of the other posters. This company is rotten from the top and no department is unaffected. The business model is broken (or alternatively, it’s working perfectly for the talking heads at the top who make money off figuring out how many jobs you can do for the price of 1/3 of a person at a more humane organization). Hard workers in any department can expect to be gaslit (no you’re not doing 4 jobs, you’re just not efficient enough; no manager Jay isn’t abusive, you just don’t deserve respect). If you can find any other job take it and if you can’t or haven’t yet and you’re already here do whatever you can to maintain your sense of self and belief in your ability to rise up and out. No need to know you to know you are better than this. It’s not personal. It’s Centene.
I currently work in LTC in Florida under Sunshine Health and this is by far the most stress I’ve ever experienced from working for any employer! I would not recommend this place to anyone. I pray that I can find another job even if it’s a cut in pay.
I currently work in long term care in Florida and it is indeed the most stressful position I’ve ever worked.
None. Run for the hills. Seriously.
WellCare was tolerable since I worked for a somewhat independent unit within the company that was acquired, and there were many good people. I thank God that I was termed prior to going into Centene.
