IBM, C&CS in particular, is desperate to retain people with experience. It is time to ask for raises, because there will still not be any bonuses or GDP this year.
The alternative is to leave IBM’s sinking ship.
I am planning to retire next year. IBM would like me to stay on part time for 2 more years (you get full time benefits for 24 months of part time work) and several of my co-workers have opted to do that. But I am undecided at this point (just not feeling it because I know no one really cares).
Violence is never a solution.. but it sure scratches that itch you've been getting since time long forgotten.
