Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Volunteer at a charity or something

So many people on this site need to get out of their bubble and go help some less fortunate people. An attitude of gratitude goes far in life. Much further than the victim mentality on full display here.

Can you read ? People here are saying that they will donate time and money to the causes and charities of their choice, not to United Way, a corrupt and bloated corporate favorite.

Vent on the charity business. This is pretty disgusting. People complaining about the company allowing them to spend time donating to a needy community. Sure, great for optics and promos, no doubt at all that occurs. What about the school, homes and communities that donated time makes a difference in? Sick people who say “poor me, my boss is an a$$” one minute (which he may be) and then are negative about the opportunity to support a worthwhile campaign to help your city or help families in needy communities…Just gross. I hope you all lose your jobs and know what it’s like to be hungry and live in a place with little or no opportunity which depends on charity for survival during tough times. I guess it’s easy to look away with your college degrees, getting in your German cars to head to your suburban homes for an after work swim and glass of whatever. Yes, you should all protest the company you work for you paying you your regular salary to help others in need for a day a year. Also those who say “I give to my own charity, etc, etc,” sorry country club dues are not the same as community giving. Bunch of A holes on this site. Good for you.

@nuy speak for yourself. I’ve never donated to United Way, but have volunteered plenty in the community. Just never reported my hours to EM, because why should I?

Yeah, lets do what the troll says, let’s donate some self-respect and dignity to our EM managers, since they don’t have any.

XOM employees won't volunteer unless it is paid. Paid volunteer benefit at United Way.

Once they taken paid volunteering in the company. Participation will tank because no one will volunteer doing it on their personal time

EMs charitable charms. Spread it all around.

Watch CSPAN on Thursday to see the rainbow of florins flowing to the people.
DW, if you didn't know, will testify to the offering basket about the Gelt - I mean guilt.

We should volunteer to do the clean-up in the congressional chamber.
Charitable act, yes, but not supposed to know about it.
Hush, now.
