Is it worth going to Samsung from Intel?
How would you compare the pay, WLB, career growth etc?

I contracted at Intel (Altera) for a year, then Samsund San Diego for 3 years and counting.
The paranoia at Intel was palpable, and it was not a good thing. Everyone super cautious about their jobs even then. No sharing info to get the work done better, etc.
At Samsung, the folks share a lot more. Much healthier work environment. They are asked to do a lot, and keep coming thru with the goods.
Personally, I'll stick with Sammy; Intel isn't ready for another try for at least a few more years to see if they can really start sorting out the mess they're in. Even 10 Pat Gs wouldn't be enough to overturn the bad inertia that seems to be embedded at Intel.
