Working at Anthem has taken its toll on me. Lay-off half the team and the rest are left to pick up the pieces with the same performance expectations as before. You do the work of 2-3 people and yet your pay grade has nothing to show for it. Even if you meet all necessary requirements for promotion. They rather get the most bang for their buck it seems. Way to go guys. Keep up the great work!

Update! Accepted a new job offer with a substantial amount more in pay. I will say the one thing I am grateful for is the skill set I gained. Believe in yourself because there’s other companies that will see your value regardless of tenure. Use Anthem as a stepping stone.
I was being laid off earlier this year and even though I knew the risk with Anthem, it felt like I was blindsided and not prepared.
Having experience in the Healthcare Insurance business, it didn’t take more than 2 weeks before I received 2 solid offers.
I am now making $35K more and actually have a balanced work/personal live.
My point:
Do not worry, prepare your resume/credentials/financials and know that you work in a field that has a high demand.
You must be in my department. They will burn us all out & set us up for failure.
Yep - sounds about right.
