Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

It was a good run

I have been at allstate a few years and pre pandemic I personally liked the job. Since the pandemic and full time work from home I just don't like it. The way layoffs were handled last year I didn't respect. Plus I see the direction Allstate is going by selling the home office. It has become a company that is all about money and disregards customers and employees. Once covid dies down which I think will be 2022 or 2023 I'm out. I'd be open to staying in insurance or doing something else that pays well

The layoff was a blessing in disguise. I was a mid level D in salary and now getting paid 30% more. I’ve been at my new company for 6 months and loving it.

There’s a big plan. Bu---r than you realize. They want more to leave so they can replace us in India. It’s as simple as that. Soon, we will hear there just isn’t enough candidates to fill jobs here in the states. We need our partners in India to help us. Watch. It’s happening already and we don’t even realize it. Hold on for severance if you want but take a better opportunity if you can outside of Allsnake The facade they are putting up about jobs they are creating is shear bs. Follow the money. They are looking for bargain labor and it’s not in the USA
