Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Oil is above $80. Things are improving

I never forget. The industry is cyclical. If oil prices steady, competitors will be looking for staff. I will go for higher pay and in turn, COP can pay higher to replace me. Everyone would just be better off if COP would be better at making sure employees do not go too long without raises. The truth is, if I don't get compensated fairly, I will move on and COP will suffer because they will have to overpay for someone to replace me that has much less experience

COP will always pay a somewhat competitive or average wage to their average employees. The top 100 will be rewarded beyond anyone’s imagination. The carrot of reward will be dangled but very few will get a bite.

You've been posting about leaving for another company for over two years now. I think the problem is that nobody else will take you. I hope that changes!

You are one of the many reasons COP is in the position it is. Please find another company, so someone with work values can have a chance.

Jeezus OP, if your communication skills matched your inflated ego you’d do great. As it stands, I’d say you best stay where you are run middle management.
