To those others who got transferred did you receive any severance pay from AIG?

Thank you. This is very helpful information. It is so unfair to not provide people the severance they've rightly accumulated at AIG. How disgusting to take that away from people just because they're basically being forced to go to Accenture OR lose their job !
Corporate America is completely without morals or integrity. All they're doing is instilling in people to not show any loyalty to x company and to leave immediately upon landing a new, higher paying role.
There is no severance in the US if your group is moved to Accenture. They will give you an offer of employment with Accenture. If you don't accept... they consider it as if you just (voluntarily) turned in your 2 weeks notice.
No you get zero severance from AIG. Pay there depends but generally they’re doing it to avoid severance and keep experienced people. So perhaps 20% get equal or more pay, 80% get less or just leave. Unless you’re in a country that requires severance for such moves if you quit you get nothing but unused PTO.
Manila lost a lot of good people when this was done. Domestic legacy FTEs in many cases are leaving if they are young enough to move.
Just note that between TCS, Cognizant and Accenture they control over half of all work done in GI IT. There is zero career path for vast majority of FTEs in IT. Many are burned out, fed up and are going through motions.
Notice how many more system outages are happening now? Think it’s a coincidence? At least the execs and those on the friends and family nepotism plan are doing well.
I’ve had issues working elsewhere before, but many blokes I work with hate working here and will leave when time is right for them.
