So people are not exaggerating, the conditions are really better and it is really worth starting from the beginning?

Look around folks.....If you are in claims, it's your fault! There are jobs out there making way much more money without the BS if you want to work!
I think you just explained why they are small regional carriers and not large national carriers.
I am not sure any of the national carriers would be a good place to work. All of the people I know that have left for better pay and better work hours and environment have gone to regional carriers. They work M-F regular business hours, no weekends, no holidays. Somehow their customers are not demanding they work on Christmas and July 4th or until 9pm like ours
State Farm, Allstate, and Geico are all in communication with each other and following the same failed model that is repeated time and time again.
Progressive, liberty mutual, and travelers offer better pay and a better environment.
Simply look up the reviews. Progressive seems to be the golden p-t of insurers to work for.
