Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Have you seen all the open positions at xerox?

Hmmmmmmm…I wonder why?

I’m sure they will find some 30 day wonders that will eventually realize that this industry will soak the life out of you and then some.

I truly hope they read and understand this forum as a warning to stay away from this shell of a company, and avoid it like the plague.

Just my opinion….

Xerox management is complete sc-m. Don’t hold out for a raise or even a Christmas party. How to destroy a company from the inside, and pretend you don’t know what happened. Treat people badly and you reap what you sow.

Vacc mandate is just another backhanded way to dump salary payouts of long term employees with no severance and avoid eeoc rules. To h3ll with the EC

You think the open positions are high now, wait until the fallout from Xerox's vaccine mandate takes hold. All those employees who will never ever visit a federal customer will be terminated because of Biden's memo. Customers are going to really feel it. For them, its just another reason to do business with the numerous medium size multi-brand dealers that are currently cleaning Xerox and XBS's clock.

In todays world Xerox places little if any value on experience. They are a company on the cheap and their products and customer service reflect that .

I’m sure there are customers who read this forum. Do you honestly think anyone who reads about all the xerox shortfalls and issues, would want to invest dollar one in their equipment?
I would hope not. Cut your losses. ✂️

I’ve had three different customers request that the junk Chinerox machines be toted out and be replaced by HP ASAP

Maybe part of the interview process should be various role play scenarios re how you the candidate would address frequent inventory, service, supplies, support, short falls?

And yet the job descriptions for many of the jobs are so specific and detailed, looking for experience, etc., it will be hard to fill from the outside. Sometimes management does this on purpose so when there are no external qualified applicants they can make a case for an alternate hire (contract conversion, etc.) - which I'm ok with, if the person is indeed qualified.

I hope they get everything they deserve. Maybe more. Bad Juju.

That's exactly what they are doing. They are getting rid of the older employees by either offshoring their positions or IRIF's. The benefits load for an older employee is much higher than a younger one (and of course this is true for offshore resources). Salary and health insurance are much cheaper with someone younger. They're willing to take the negative hit from all the experienced workers leaving for the short term wage and benefits savings.

They have all these new open positions due to the fact that they are paying all these new hires a lot less and showing the old heads to the door. That’s how they are absorbing the increase in healthcare/ decreasing the operating ratio for the shareholders. They could care less about the employees or the customers as it’s all a pony show for the end result, that being the shareholders.
