where did you hear it was now by 10/26? I have not seen anything that stated the change in dates and I even asked around and no one else has seen / heard of it changing.

Yet another lie from IBM management, Arvind and the Human Riffing department. The last date for forced vaccinations is Oct 26, not Dec 8 2021. If the employee does not update the VAX status by Oct 26; he/she will be placed on unpaid leave immediately. Heil Arvind!

Why should people be given no alternatives? Do people realize how id--tic this policy is? IBM wants to force people's medical decisions on them? This needs to be reversed quickly
At the end of the day, IBM does not care about your exemptions... everybody should understand IBM uses this to be able to fire people without having to pay severance.
People who have already filed for exemptions have yet to hear back and the clock is ticking. The exemption text only allows a few sentences at best - hardly enough to go into necessary detail. People who try to use askHR are finding it devoid of useful info, and emailing HR directly yields no response.

Be aware that if you file a religious exemption, you'll need to show that you've objected to other vaccines or medical interventions in the past. If you suddenly "got religion" over Covid, don't expect that to fly.
Mind you, I still struggle to understand what kind of person would lie about their religion to avoid a jab. Or, for that matter, what kind of person is so determined to endanger their colleagues and their colleagues' families. Maybe I'm old fashioned.
