Yard Status?

I needed a little research information about a few yards for an article/project and have not been able to find this out. Thought a few people might help our. Are the humps still closed, opened or what is the status of : Kansas City, Chicago-Proviso, Fort Worth and Roseville?
Thanks in advance. I appreciate any help.

Sounds like you got a new job as a “research journalist” after you quit the OMT class because you couldn’t grasp the UP Way or PSR. Your confusing us dummies with big words like appreciate and thank you. You want the real skinny- go imbedded like a real Journalist. Get a job as a craft person Go old school and boil your hotdogs, try not to burn your pretty soft hands and use tongs (a tool to grab said hot dog from boiling water) put it in a cold bun, drink the warm Dr. Pepper and ask the people around you at the feast about the status of the yards. That’s the best advice this experienced railroader can give you. And no, I’m not miserable or bitter. I love UP and the co*ksucking management team!

If you worked for this company and went through what we have all been through over the last 6 years, you would understand. Even the most positive employees now feel the same. You shouldn’t judge unless you’ve been through it yourself and probably shouldn’t go to a layoff site for credible research.

I guess he could cite his sources as Hamburger Guy. Hotdog Man or Strike Man, those would be reliable, I guess.

Just an article on the national transportation network, how tech is changing it and how it has become fragile and relates to the supply chain problems. Thanks to the one person who helped, I appreciate the effort.

I do not understand how or why the rest of you feel you are cool or something being so juvenile. You all seem to be so angry that I doubt you even understand why anymore. Mad at the railroad? Mad at your leadership? Mad at yourself? Anger and victim status must be so ingrained into your thought process that you have no options but to degrade, lash out and sound like 5th graders. Blame. Blame anyone but yourself. Sad to me but I don't have to live your life, thank God. Try a little self reflection and make a change, before it's to late, for your own sake.

If I was writing an article for a paper or magazine this would be the last place I'd be getting my info. First off I wouldn't trust anything posted, everything written is either a lie, hearsay or written as sarcasm. How would you cite your sources? Another want a be foamer.

Fort Worth is sort of using the hump, but not the master re--rder. Basically flat switching from the top of the hill with locos.

Both East and West humps in North Platte are operating.

Proviso is being redesigned as an Intermodal facility. I don't know if they have bulldozed the hump yet, it is a project that was announced in January of 2020. Neff yard in Kansas City has been utilized as storage of autoracks and lower horsepower locomotives. They are starting to move some autoracks. Now that the copper thieves are done with the locomotives, they are pulling those too. No significant sign of switch maintenance at the hump, they would save that for the last 30 days before a cold start.

They’re all closed but still able to hump. They just are flat switching instead.

No, I'm asking for myself. My God, I'm just asking a question. If this is how you answer then you deserve to be as unhappy and miserable as you sound.
Can anyone else help me out? Thanks again...
