Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Is there any reason to think that this October will be different?

Is there any hope that this October will pass without layoffs?

I am very worried because this would be the worst possible time for me personally to get laid off, and it frustrates me that I am powerless to do anything and not become the layoff target if TR intends to get rid of me.

In legal, there were layoffs in operations, government, small law and Findlaw from what I heard. Don't know about other segments within.

I work on legal and have not heard anything about layoffs. Is anyone able to share more info on layoffs thus week in legal? Was hoping I might be one of them.

I think October is when it starts & goes on through thanksgiving. Good luck. It’s never a good time for lay offs but you’ll have until end of year, then severance. Trying to interview over the holidays is such a shitshow. I think you get ghosted the most around that time since everyone is on vacation except the lucky ones that TR chooses to let go of. Oh yeah, employees are so valued

It's not any different. I have a friend who works in TR Legal and there were cuts today as part of the new TR change program. But remember, according to management, the employees are the most valuable asset in the company. So full of sh-t.
