Vax mandate .. how a pres can avoid law as long as possible

So.. this says a lot to me. The links might not work since this page likes to put dashes in things but we shall try.

Biden gave an EO on Sep 9th. The EO states that there will be a task force established ("Safer Federal Workforce") that will work on establishing "guidance". It then directs federal agencies to put contractual language requiring the contractor to comply with the Safer Federal Workforce Guidance. The EO can be found: https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2021/09/09/executive-order-on-ensuring-adequate-covid-safety-protocols-for-federal-contractors/

Safer Federal Workforce Guidance put out guidance basically saying all contractors needed to be fully vaccinated by Dec 8th: https://www.saferfederalworkforce.gov/downloads/Draft%20contractor%20guidance%20doc_20210922.pdf

So they're trying to roll it out via contractual terms in federal contracts (starting Dec 8th) RATHER than putting it into law (which would immediately be challenged in the courts). This way, it won't ever see any court room until its put into a contract Dec 8th (and federal contractors can go "but we're just doing what is being told of us"). Once Dec 8th hits, you can expect companies to sue..

Get the vaccine already. For crying out loud…some people will put all kinds of trash in their bodies (livestock dewormer) rather than get a vaccine to keep them and others safe. If you don’t get the vax at least have the decency to NOT take up space in our hospitals when you get covid.

Give me a break, like every single ex pres or company executive or politician in America isn’t busting the bals of some accountant to make sure they avoid the laws. Mostly taxes. Have u not been paying attention to how this company and its executives went to bed with Elliot? Or do you still believe that Elliot raids telecoms without an invite.

Haha. Like the former president isn't actively avoiding the law.

Actually, Biden's executive order 14042 on Sep. 9 requires that all federal contractors abide by the guidance set fourth by the "Safer Federal Workforce Task Force" which September 24th issued their guidance that all contractors' employees must be vaccinated by December 8. The 'press conference' mentioned in an earlier reply was referencing a Biden-proposed OSHA regulation for employers with > 100 employees.... which so far hasn't officially happened. But the E.O. for federal contractors is very real. Unfortunately.

Companies aren't going to sue. Why would they? They prefer vaccinated workers who aren't going to get sick and die.
