Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

I miss the days

Former WFT person here. I miss sitting around doing nothing, and not really caring about the well being of the company. It had been over 4 years since any of us had a pay increase and the moral was completely shot through the entire labor force. There was so much sarcasm and resentment, very little f's were given by myself and fellow coworkers.

I did try really hard for several years, but once it was clear there was no chance of any real future, I would sit at my desk and just stare at the wall for a good 2 hours at a time. Work would get done, just not with any sense of accomplishment or pride. I left, and like many others found the grass was greener on the other side.

People who are reading this, will immediately think of someone they know who may have written it. That's the bad thing. It was basically all of us.

I watched co workers at wft lose fortunes as the stock collapsed.
I never invested a penny in this goat rope

Last anonymous. Shut up you tool. Who wouldn’t suck them dry when they know how they treat employees, looking after number one and taking as much as I can with as little effort for a long as possible.

for every thread on this site, there has to be one troll. i doubt every word of your comment, unless you're one of the ones who made out like a bandit from Weatherford and left us with what's left. besides it was the old boys club that have all left who sucked this company dry, unless that is what youre implying.

Talk for yourself, people like you are part of the reason, the company is the way it is. Sorry I worked hard at Weatherford. The reason was they paid me for doing so. 20 years I worked there prior to my retirement loved every moment I was with them. I have nothing bad to say about them.

i am the same way now. Started here 11 years ago, full of energy, ambition, and a desire to help grow the company. But years of pay decreases, furlough, the revolving door of executives who stay for a year or two then get multi-million dollar payouts (this is one reason why we don't get raises) and the constant reminder we should be grateful to have a job, where as they should be grateful to have such a good work force. this company would never have made it out of chapter 11 if it wasn't for all of you, but the company will never recognize this. Even though this is rampant through most large companies i find WFD to be one of the worst. long story long, i now have zero F's, i see many ways we could improve our process's, save time and money, see vendors that can cost us less on product. But i no longer engage, don't care and nobody does anymore. this industry is picking up contrary to what management says, opportunities are coming up for all of us, time to move on.

Definitely me, apart it’s not 2 hours doing nothing, it’s 8.
