Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Their strategy boils down to passing work onto those who stay...

If this company plans to keep on simply transferring the work of people who leave onto those who are still here, then it will not end well... Initially I accepted the extra work because I cared to keep my job here, but I no longer intend to do the job for three people.

We have seen the fake tears before, no one believes it anymore.

Just like post bankruptcy they are paying bonus incentives to keep non staff employees on board. They need to keep the ship aflot long enough for Elliot to keep everything smoldering before the fire sale.

All of these team calls and executive team all hands are a joke. It's just a pep rally with no substance. You can rearrange the chairs on the deck of the titanic but it doesn't change the outcome.

Before I changed rolls to another team I specifically asked who was going to pickup my work. CRICKETS across the board, no one picked up my work and everyone panicked after I had moved on, I was the glue from the elnk network.. Things are so dysfunctional I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel.

All they are doing is trying to dress up the pig with a kohl’s sale dress and some Walgreens makeup while trying to run blue light specials to make the books look good. Heck last Friday I almost offered Lil T some tissue I thought he was going to cry on a call. If you look behind the BS and listen to the walk around substance the company is not prospering and it all belongs on upper management and Elliot. I’ll stay around till they kick me out however I’m only doing what I feel like.

I have a feeling there is going to be alot of this. All of those little differences in network equipment will fall through the cracks. Everyone knows we are still 5 to 10 networks under one roof. Some stuff was integrated others were not.

Good luck with replacing experience. Not everything is documented.

I think you are right but I also think they will attempt to backfill many who leave. If the requirements are that they be vaxxed, its gonna be hard going for them since every other telecom will likely have the same mandate. The ones that don't will skim off the folks that do a good job at their trade. Just a guess.. we shall see how it rolls
