Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Improvement should be felt

I thought the atmosphere in the company would improve as revenues recovered from the heavy fall due to the pandemic, but I did not feel any significant improvements. I would say that everything is the same, if not worse, than at the worst moment of the pandemic?

The company has been in a spiral since Ford 2000. I am not racist or sexist. But that Real true Truck Organization (Building 1 prior to 1995) knew their customers. For those doubting that Just remember these were the same guys who brought you the F150/Explorer/Ranger.. Just look at the execution since then The original escape and Focus had over 20 recalls combined.. The Explorer after 2000 sales went right into the tank, not to say the recent launch at CAP. Another disaster. I am sorry but Allan did bring light and hope to this company. but since he retired the focus and mission is lost. The string of quality launches F150/Explorer/Bronco/Mach E continue to pile up. The family spends company funds like it is theirs to spend with no accountability. Sorry but $3/4bn on that train station is a major sign the family needs to stay out of the day to day operations. You want to leave a legacy do it with your own money !

Ford will be bankrupt soon. You cannot run a company and be successful if you make the moves they have and are making.

Morale... Right ... Most people "working" from home are abusing it and abuse the people that are working in the facilities. It's ridiculous how you cannot contact anyone that claims to be working from home. Several have admitted they are working a second job or out golfing or whatever.

The company has been in a death spiral since Hackett came in with his crazy huddle talk and initiation of SRD. If you didn't recognize the competence that was shown the door during SRD, it became painfully obvious when the pandemic hit. The chip shortage is yet another proof point of Ford's shallow leadership bench. Morale is unlikely to increase as the company has decided to focus on social justice issues and handing out promotions like participation trophies to the incompetent. Mulally used to preach that when we got things right, profitability would take off like a turbine machine. Our self conflicted wounds have caused our turbine machine to take off in the wrong direction.
