If you think you are on the bubble and in for a nice severance, I would hold out too. If you have less than 10 years making $65k or less, there is no reason to hang on. You can make up that money by getting a higher paying job. Don't put yourself through it if you don't have to.
Credit Suisse. They're recruiting hard in the Triangle. They almost doubled my Met salary and got a sign on bonus. Anyone still at Met not exploring their options is either a fool or holding out for the next round of severance packages.
Startup, mainly to explore new technologies and develop new skills. Slightly higher pay but not by much (Met treated me well tbh).
Landed at a FAANG for 3x the money
