The saddest thing of all is that this used to be a very good place to work, and now it is the complete opposite. At this point, I don't even know why I am still here? Maybe a fear of the new beginning? OK, nowhere is the grass much greener, but I don't know anyone else who regretted leaving here.

A lot of the people laid off in Feb got 6 months severance with their COBRA being paid for by Centene and help with job placement agency. I doubt they will still be doing that, be lucky if you get 3 months.
Severance varies by length of employment and your position. I don't feel comfortable providing details. If you have any close friends that were laid off in a position similar to yours, they may be able to assist with that.
When you were laid off what kind of severance package were you offered?
I love my team and my department. I did not start to dislike this company until Aug 3rd or so when they announced the "vaccine mandate" ,which has yet to be filed as an official mandate by the administration....and we started getting vaccine reminder emails 2/3 times a week and on our weekly department calls. It's to much.. I don't need a company to "protect me and my family" I need a company that will respect my boundaries and pay me for the job I do. I know just a little more then half of employees are still unvaxxed and I can't wait to see us all band together on our convictions and stand up for what's right. Lets see how well the company does when they loose half of their work force over an unofficial non-filed mandate. They are pushing the vaccine but are not 100% honest on the current situation... Not once have they mentioned that the mandate has not been officially filed, which would mean we still have a choice they just want to disguise that fact and push it on the white house because "that's what was said on the press conference" .... Press conferences are not officially filed mandates.
I was laid off too, and kind of went numb for a few weeks, but found a new position and was back at work a couple of months later. The company I'm working for actually sought me out and I'm what you would consider an older worker. They wanted experience, paid decently and didn't care that I was way over 50. It's fully remote and it's not perfect, but it's not Centene either.....
I was laid off and it was the best thing although I couldn't see it at the time. There's life after Centene!
It was never good in my experience. It started bad and got progressively worse. I'm actively looking for work elsewhere.
When did it used to be good?
