Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

My mall walk

My recent mall walk as a eye opener.. there was 5 stores closed in a row and the entire mall was dead.. this is a 3 level mall that was very busy in years past.
Starbucks was closed and boarded up. and that says to me " mall traffic" microsoft stores all closed , Lindt the chocolate store as well a Godiva all gone.. the middle class mall is done. there is also a push to move everything online malls are done

I worked at a major dallas Mall in the 1980s, literally from 1981-1989, that was truly the golden era. I remember it so fondly, no nasty customers that I can remember and very little crime. I wish we could teleport back to the 80s, a simpler but better time !

Local Outlet stores I go to always seems to be very busy. Not sure I have seen some Bloomies Outlets locations. Macy’s might want to consider their Market by Macy’s in these busier Outlet locations which seem to be doing better than traditional malls or at least most of them.
