Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

More Barnes & Nobles planning to close

I just read the biggest B&N in New England, the Boston store will soon be replaced by a sports bar.

But no one misses BAD management! Especially when bad managers are promoted, rewarded for doing the job terribly.

The horrible, talentless NE Regional Manager should never have been given the job as store manager-let alone regional. And if that wasn't bad enough, she promoted mean vindictive people like herself who forced out and fired talented people with actual book knowledge. Just one of the many bad decisions this company has made over the years.

I don't think anyone hates anyone there, it's just a bunch of us
are moving on.

The job market kind of opened up, and there are just higher paying options.

It's been tough the past few years, but i will miss the physical store and people.

Since this was posted, 2 more people have given their notices and 2 more plan on leaving before next month. Everyone hates the people running store and company.

Just as well, the best employees have been fleeing the bad management from this store for years. Even the loyal customers have noticed how much the store has changed for the worse and they've left too. The whole company should just be shut down for so many bad decisions.

Yep.
Happening in January, though (the closing).
