Received an invite recently from the CEO for an all-day celebration at Mercedes-Benz World in UK to show appreciation to all employees. Looked to be an enjoyable event. Invite quickly followed by event “cancellation”. Invite then resent to only employees in the UK. Smooth. You would think that someone on Paul’s staff would be smart enough to make sure similar events were planned at the other sites to make sure this didn’t send the wrong message - but alas, tis not so. This goes hand-in-hand with the last company all-hands where Paul and team shared the pictures of their leadership team-building outing. Looked like it was a great time. It’s good to be king. Why wouldn’t the little people take pleasure in seeing Paul and his staff spending the company’s money on lavish outings while their all stuck working from home.

You should add Finance to your list of poorly run support organisations. What do they all have in common? They’re run by the finastra mafia. Heads of finance, IT, HR all watching out for each other - but not the company. IT senior leadership with no IT experience. Finance organisation is a mess. They regularly send out emails asking for help figuring out what happened to POs. We may not have a building in CHF but we can all gather at Mercedes Benz for a day. Better than those poor chaps in LWR.
Most of our support functions HR, IT, Comms are a joke. I'm sure if Paul sent it he'd get it right
