Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Do those at the top get the right information?

Since it is obvious to many of us that top management does not know how bad middle management is when it comes to their relationship with employees, I sometimes wonder if those at the top actually get the most relevant and accurate information about employees? Why does it sometimes seem that the top doesn’t really know the real pulse of the employees at the bottom of this company?

As a former Director I can say that our hands are tied. We want to make progress, we want to develop our people, we want to allow wfh, but until the ceo is gone, nothing will change. His goal is 6% profit margins and he doesn't care how bare bones the staff gets as long as he gets to 6%. If you leave on your own, it's great for his company bc its more towards bottom line. Don't look for any employee satisfaction decisions as long as current ceo is in charge

That’s a true statement. I’m glad I used up all my sick and vacation time . Gave my notice. Found a job that is permanent WFH .

The execs at the top only care about profits. They don't care about bad managers or burned out employees as long as they get their big bonuses.
