I’ve heard some associates being told they will get a monetary award in Feb next year for.

I work in Rich Chong’s Org - I was told I was receiving a Key Contributor Award (KCA) of $2,000 in Feb, plus my regular bonus in March. Nothing about 1/2 now, 1/2 later. And $2,000 is barely 2% of my salary lol not 8-10%.
A retention bonus is generally only given if you are quitting or they are laying you off and need you to stay a certain length of time. I'd be super concerned if they tried to give me a retention bonus and I had not turned in notice. They are most likely planning on laying you off. I can only speak from what I've seen at Centene in the past.
Anyone know anything about our raises? It would be nice to get higher than 3%
I guess you must be higher up in the totem pole or have some really important position to get an 8% retention bonus.
The bonus that is split in half and is like 8-10% of annual salary is generally a Retention Bonus, which is different from the $1k in Feb. You will know because they tell you not to tell anyone and make you sign an HR legal document that states how much and the payment schedule. And of course if you quit before the payment dates, you get nothing.
Is your wife in a leadership position? I was only told about getting a $1000 in February and that's it. Nothing about half now half later.
As someone above stated, it's a Key Contributor award. My wife is getting one: half paid at the end of February and the other half in early June. The payments equate to roughly 8% of her yearly income.
Believe certain senior leaders have LTI that pays out around that time. In the case of legacy WellCare leaders, it’s the last sizable LTI payout leftover from the WellCare days and many are waiting for that last one before hitting the road.
They are usually stock options that when matured and all restrictions fall off can be sold for a very large percentage of their base salary (think multiple years at 50%-100% of their base).
What departments are getting them?
No it’s not the annual bonus - I was told it is separate and that we will still be getting annual bonus in March as usual. They called this a key contributor award. I was told half paid in February, half in April.
Sounds like the annual bonus, announced in February and delivered in early March. It’s based on if the unit AND Centene hit their goals.
Does anyone know how many years you have to be with the company to get one?
The company could give everyone a bar of Gold and some people will say , this is awesome and some will say , the bar is too heavy…. All news isn’t bad news sometimes good news is just that , Good news … Enjoy the blessing, what an awesome way to start 2022 💕
What's the terms of accepting the retention bonus? You can't quit for like 60 days? I wonder if the people who don't get one means they're getting laid off
1000 turns into 200 after Uncle Sam and then it recycle right back to Centene.. fml..lol
Yes, the organization is giving KCA’s (key contributor awards). not sure exactly who gets what but my team received $1000 each. The pay out is not until Feb 4th, but you have to be with the company to receive it. Just another way to try to lock you in if you’re looking to leave the organization.
yea watch it be like $500....
Supposedly, they are giving a retention bonus for us fools that stay
Yes. And no I was informed it wouldn’t be replacing the bonus.
Is that what they are calling the annual bonus now? Or is that in place of the bonus?
