Thread regarding ExxonMobil Singapore layoffs

Where do you see EM Singapore in 5 years time?

I don’t think that by now anyone can argue that the “gods” in Texas has decided to gradually scale down the footprint in SIngapore, in search of a cheaper workforce. In what way and in what dynamics that's going to be done? Your guess is as good as mine. One thing is for sure, more reductions will come, either through attrition or layoffs.
I, myself, am 2 years away from reaching my pension, so I doubt I will be employed long enough to witness the full extent of the reductions. However, I am interested to know what EM employees think about how the Singapore site will look like in 5 years?

All I know is that I see myself far away from this company in five years.

With all these layoffs it will be an employee-free company in 5 years.

I don't care where it's going to be. I'm not staying here to find out.
