We start the actually Black Friday sale tomorrow and just had many of the best items pulled for fulfillment in our store. You want the $14.99 toaster oven? Too bad, we just sent out every unit out in fulfillment. How about the $19.99 throws, $4.99 wireless headphones, or a bunch of other items that everyone is going to want, nope just sent them out. So much home junk sent shipped to the store just to be sent out again, there has got to be a most cost effective way to do fulfillment without exhausting employees and wasting resources, not to mention the environmental impact of shipping this stuff around the country before getting it to the customers.
Should be a real fun and NPS enhancing event with customers thrilled to be coming into the store just to find out that we don't have half the items they are looking for.
