Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Growing chaos

I was thinking of staying in this company for a while longer because I am close to retirement, but lately I have been wondering if it is worth it or if it is better to leave in that case as well. People are leaving and the leadership does not care that there is growing chaos here. Perhaps the chaos is beyond their control??

Everyone believed in the new Mikey for a while, but his repeated "if I thought money would help I would give it to you" on several calls has meant people have seen through his real meaning and intentions.

His trying to tell people they dont need money,by his actions he has said the money is only needed by himself and other execs to fix things for themselves.

Shame really as you can't believe the gloss he puts on it, lawrie used to say it as it was.

Mikey 2 says stuff but the actions don't reflect his sayings or he does the bare minimum of what he says. He lacks conviction in his sayings.

Do the absolute bare minimum or get out. Just like politicians, DXC exec management makes a lot of hot air, but in reality they don’t give a flying F about you or anyone else.

Probably just stay and wait it out and top up your pension. Yes, it’s a few more years of unappreciative pain in a depressing atmosphere, but a few years and you will be out. Plus there is always the chance they may offer you WFR in which case you’ve made a bit whilst waiting for them to make the choice for, you. I was close to taking early retirement when I was let go from DXC, but I had a few yrs left on the mortgage, so kinda needed another job, but I have had 2 more jobs since leaving DXC with more money and much better firms and fun atmosphere working with a great team, so 8t gave me a new lease of life where I don’t really think about retiring.

If you find it harmful to your health which may affect your relationships, mental health and if can find an alternative job then a) leave as it's a stink Bad place to work for b) do as little as possible and collect your pay check $$$ - don't ever offer to do above and beyond your contract or be as clever as your co'workers and line manager- as they likely bully and push you out the door.

DXC Cares that is ridiculous as you personally have to match contributions. The company is not offering to help with $$

You must be wrong about DXC....did you not get the email from the COO heralding the arrival of the DXC Cares Portal? This will surely change your thoughts on DXC...no?

Good move, leaving is the only route to empowerment and it feels so good!

When you exhaust all possible, what... Hang on, somebody else said that...
