In the first quarter of 2021 Aetna/CVS employees were laid off in the IT center jobs were given to India. They only received 13 weeks severance for 30+ years. Now recently these former employees received a letter saying they were getting an additional one time lump sum severance payment. There is no mention on why this was given. They are not giving this additional money out from the "goodness of their heart". Any suggestions on why CVS did this...?

When I got layed off before with aetna before cvs I received I believe the same 13 weeks as a base and an additional week for every year of service. So perhaps they forgot to pay u for ur years of service and don’t want to be sued
