Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Good old days are a thing of the past

I haven’t been here that long and unlike most, I seem to be one of the few who got the opportunity to work here even though I didn’t have much previous experience. I plan to look for something better soon, but what I’ve noticed is that most of my colleagues still hold onto the idea of how Xerox used to be and they are frustrated because it’s now in a distant past. Maybe one should come to terms with the fact that X will never be the same again?

Most of the old timers know, but each has their own reason for hanging around. A few do not, but we’re always the clueless types.

The reason “they” talk about the good old days is because they see what “you guys “ are going through now, and they don’t think it’s fair. They think you deserve better and know what the past looked like. Settling now for a stick in the eye and a kick in the bu-t, bothers them. You all deserve better. But people now just settle for anything. Not fair, not right. Not okay in their eyes.
