Macys may spin off online biz

Macys may spin off online biz and what this means to instore jobs.
could explain why they will hike the pay in may 22 to 15 dollars. it could also mean that alot of jobs cuts in feb which i think will happen.. Ops is one of the rumor jobs to go first then a new role for sales managers .. all sounds like your days are numbered.

$15 an hour is still awful and is not a livable wage, especially with Biden inflation for the next 3 years. Please go find employment elsewhere Macy’s is the bottom barrel. Walmart hires for more..

Spin-off is never going to happen. Sure our Dot Com business is great, but who would want the brink and mortar business without the online side, it's the only growth the company has seen in years.

I left my job at Macy’s in August after 3 years of working there. I ran asset protection, all I can say is get out ASAP. Best decision of my life, retail is a road nowhere and you end up staying longer than expected. It was sad leaving friends behind we had a great diverse community at my store and I loved all the employees. Miss you all, but very glad I’m gone.

You really can't "spin it off" without doing huge damage to the brick & mortar business. Stores won't have the goods for the walk in customer. And where is the workforce supposed to come from to support separate entities? We can't hire what we have now. Keep the business as it is and close more underperforming locations to the public and convert to fulfillment centers.
