Oh boy. Got word from BOD meeting, that some of us will be getting post Christmas “presents”. In other words, a pile of coal and a $hit sandwich from the Jolly ol Elf himself, WJW. This one to be record breaking in terms of SWN layoffs. That’s saying a lot given we already set the record for number of layoffs in a given period of time. Please comment with your thoughts and list your department and department head. Thanks in advance so we can prepare!

Overheard Clayton asking what is a glory ho-e as he read some posts on this board. The person he spoke to said they did not know. Another SVP pipes in and said ask Bill at the next staff meeting and then laughed. What is this type of talk doing. We are a God fearing and family company.

Original poster is correct. Layoffs confirmed for mid January. This is not a joke like these other troll clown shows have posted before.
Speaking of “bloated”, I think WJW was playing the ol toilet tuba after that big buffet breakfast down in the conference room A with the Wall Street folks. Hadn’t heard a brass section that good since the UH football game last weekend at Robertson. Dayum.
Agreed with previous poster. Landmen are a dime a dozen ‘round here, easily replaceable and not needed right now. Or if any are needed, the Indigo and GEN Haynesville folks have much better resumes. more competent and accomplished. Not to mention the SWN land bloated salaries have gotten outta control. They’ve got to go. Nuff said!
We don’t need as much land folks with all the acquisitions. We don’t need but one or two safety people in the whole comapny. We are all responsible for safety. We don’t need as many accountants when we lose billions of dollars no profits to tally. We do need a few extra HR people to get the layoff packages ready. I am guessing the layoff percentage will be as greater greater than 2017-19 total. Be ready. We are sending people on a 2022 vacation!!!
