I lost a good and highly competent manager to layoffs about six months ago. It made no sense when she was laid off and it makes even less sense now that I've gotten to know her replacement. He has no understanding of what our routine is and he seems incapable of providing us with any help or just simple info that we have no other way of getting but through him. He is a pro at taking credit for other people's work, though. So why did they replace a really good and experienced manager with somebody like him? I hope the drop in our productivity is a clear sign of what a huge mistake they made.

Yep.
And wait till the Qui Tam suits, wikileaks (uh oh! too late ATSC!) and media scattershot I send out if I am let go unjustly.
I have backup job and all I would do is report the truth. Nothing libelous. For God Sake the HR department is told to keep track of employees who speak of "unions". Does anyone here besides the company shills realize how illegal this is?!?!
carbon copy: US Department of Labor.
Every move they make is extremely calculated to the outcome they desire. They are pro terminations. They want as many long time loyal to quit. If they lay off a few good managers, that will help others jump ship voluntarily. We all need to realize and face the very negative facts, that this company is trying to squeeze people out so they can replace staff with the most low cost labor available. And that is In India and with self service artificial intelligence. If you think Allstate cares about staff as humans you are sorely mistaken. As long as they are not blatantly breaking any labor laws, the negative effects of their decisions will continue creating a hostile workplace. This has been a rotting pile since last year when TW and GS decided to eliminate field adjusters and administrative areas. Come first quarter 2022 we will see even more internal destruction of Allstate ISA Allstate India is where it’s going. The squeeze is on. Make your own plans to leave and be happy.
