I, too, am sick and tired of this company and I don’t intend to be here anymore next year, but still, I don’t think it’s okay to leave without giving 2 weeks notice. A colleague who left in an extremely unprofessional way did nothing to harm this company but made the job harder for his former colleagues. Looks like more and more people are leaving here without giving 2 weeks notice?

And do the needful and join Citibank hoorahhh!!!
Anyone that’s hiring. E-commerce, medical, construction, energy etc…. They all need tech people, project managers, HR personnel, accountants etc…. I list all that while not knowing your area of expertise. Just use the common job search engines.
What sectors can I transition to?
Try other sectors not just financial. You’ll find more opportunities.
Agree I see my next job out there. Am applying tomorrow and will let you all know how it goes
I’ve never seen the job market this hot during the fall and winter months like this. Usually its flat until Feb. but its just as hot now as it was in the summer. If anyone is going to jump ship now is the time as its prime job hunting season for it.
Needful done at level best!!!!
I am doing the needful and posting out this weekend.
Exactly! Banking experience or any experience does not matter anymore. Its all about diversity hires snd whoever can bs in sn interview. Meritocracy is out the door. Interviews and promotions are all pre planned
Once I bolt I am never returning so no 2 weeks for me. I might finish the week that's about it.
When they are done with you, you don’t get two weeks.
Why give two weeks? It’s not beneficial for either party and once you land a new job, you’re checked out of the old job anyway.
Yup over a decade in the system , witnessing the entire destruction from these managers . Soon you can work here as long as you have vaccine , banking experience won’t matter .
My manager is pretty bad too. My manager causes me extreme anxiety and I am afraid of their reactions. I however would give my two weeks not so much for my manager but instead for myself and for the bank as Citi isn’t as bad as people make it seem and you never know one day you may want to come back. Always leave on good terms for yourself forget about if they walk you out. Think of it as a two week paid vacation.
They don't give you two weeks notice when they let you go. Quid pro quo. He-l I've worked for companies that as soon as you put in your notice they have you pack up your desk and leave.
If Citi does not give you a two weeks notice before they lay you off, why should you be required to give a two weeks notice if you leave for another job?
I would bolt too without notice. It's not the other grunts but it's the management. People dont leave bad companies they leave bad managers and trust me mine is the worst. Sorry colleagues nothing personal
