Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel IBM and GE is your best outcome, or is it Nokia

When a company missed a pivot point no amount of strategy nor fancy reorganization and spin can fix it.

A decade ago when Intel was top dog in chips and Manufacturing they passed on the next big thing and as a result Apple, Samsung, Google, TSMC, Qualcomm, Arm, AMD, Nvidia rose. Their is no Phoenix rising with IDM2.0 or Foundry resurrection. Pat was actually their and failed as the CTO and why he wasn’t selected to be CEO, three failures later he is back, no different, to little too late.

In 2025 Intel will be split and Pat be gone as roadmaps promises are missed. IDM burns cash and fails to be competitive against Samsung and TSMC scale and cost. Apple, Arm, Qualcomm, and Nvidia will continue to ride the Foundry competitive advantage and smoke Intel offerings and companies like Ampere, Microsoft, Facebook, and Amazon come to customize thru superior ecosystems of Foundry.

GE and IBM is the best outcome and hopefully won’t end up line Motorola or Nokia, FUBAR.
