Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Why hate Intel?

It's a big company. Pay is not top brand, but it is a super comfortable place. We don't have to work much and can spend time on other things in life. There is enough room to lay low and keep quite without getting too much attention. Has good perks and time off.

Why should I leave such a comfy place to other companies where we will need to work? Makes little sense.

Life is Good.

Intel lets me sleep and get paid at the same time. Intel is the best.

@wsc exactly! I left on my own in Q2, tired of working in a cesspool, for an a-ho-e of a FLM, polishing a t*rd. Plenty of jobs around, don't want to keep wasting my life at a doomed company with horrible mgmt from top to bottom.

Ask people what happened at Intel in 2016

It's become quite a globalized and very unruly company over past 20 years.. a real cesspool actually.

Because for those of us that worked at Intel during its peak, we know it was a world-changing, first in class company. Now it's average at best.

At a local level the people at intel are truly awful, and the work is without purpose. I wouldn't call it hate, more like shame for completely wasting your professional life.
