I think 180k is their limit in some major plants with 10 years of experience for process engineer role. I was unable to raise above 180k and decided to decline the offer. Benefits are poor when compared with major competitors. It is a single case, and may vary with locations and experiences.

I started with 11 yrs at 158k. I know of another that started at the same time and was at 173k with 13 years. My guess is 148-152, unless the curves have shifted up and you end up where I was.

Best to come aboard as a contractor. You’ll be less bitter. Staff employment requires one to develop entitlement feelings which lead to sadness and continuous whining, which leads to loss of friends and family, leading to divorce, loss of parental rights and eventual commitment into a depression center, possibly also dealing with alcoholism or dr-g abuse.

Assuming this is in the US - probably somewhere in the $140k-$180k range

Not enough to put up with all the $hit! Run and go elsewhere.

The ranking system is broken; multiple layers of incompetent management.

At least $10,000 a month, if not more.
