The reinvention of Riverbed can be appreciated and wish it luck.
Does anyone actually believe between Riverbed and Aternity that data collected is something special? DataDog was mentioned and they’re some stiff completion.

Just because DS is a salesman, truth from his mouth is hard to find. His "Ask me anything" meeting turned out to be "You can ask me anything, but I will ignore anything I don't want to respond". What a joke!
Ohh yaa.. DSick coming after DataDog. Sh-t the pants all he can do.
A word of advise to all employees:
Get out now!
While the market is hot and it is easy to find another job. If you wait too long the job market might change and then when Riverbed has the eventual massive layoff that will have to happen you may have trouble finding employment (since you will be associated with a failed company).
Come on let’s keep this discussion civil, DS is a salesman and he is selling the outcome of the debt reduction as a positive thing for the company, it is in his nature to do that. Unfortunately the current execs lack continuity, failing to grasp that seasoned rank and file employees have witnessed the constant churn up top, the conveyor belt of suits entering and leaving C-suite, we have heard the same story accompanying a ‘new direction’ time and again, so are rightfully treating the financial reboot with a healthy dose of skepticism. Not to mention that many of us feel screwed by the whole Founders stock BS. We know in our hearts that none of the people that are engineering this deal will be around to see the 5 year plan to fruition, feel betrayed and bitter, feelings stoked on by years of management incompetence and U-turns, so why should we care?

what was the speech about
Tell Data Dog that Riverbed is coming after them. I am sure they will feel threatened (NOT).

Nothing special - anyone can collect data and lots of solutions do (although not as expensively) - it's what you do with the data that matters and this is where we went wrong - no meaningful innovation.
Competition? Ohhhhh ya.
