Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Exec Briefing today

So ole Tipsy had his quarterly Exec call today with leadership and normal typical BS. Let's sum it up for everyone:
If you are in claims be prepared to come back in the office more...don't count on the WFH long term! I can't micro-manage you! (but wants leaders to be flexible). NOT!
We are going to fire as many of you as soon as we can, just not now! Less opportunities! Oh...sorry you are f-cked if you work in claims. Literally said we did not furlough people during the pandemic but that may not always be the case in the future. (threat).... (means stroke out/die, deal with it or go find another job)
Our agents are awesome and the future of the company... (said he does not agree the world is going the way of Amazon and thinks people still need that relationship). Oh.. but Digital is coming!!! Clueless!
Really proud of the work SF has done on pay and attracting/retaining talent! Joke!
We could care less about Aaron Rogers....spent like 10 minute on that! Mo--n!
But hey we out grew Geico for 5 straight quarters!!! LOL!!! (hinted Big Dog is starting to loose money..but they are addressing that now). Said combined ratio is going up!
The id--ts running this company are clueless and every time I see that id--t speak I just pray for a severance package to bridge these last 3-4 years!

What’s your point?

He didn’t say anything new. This is the same message ceos are sharing in every company. We are measuring everything. It’s cheaper to get rid of you after we suck your talents dry. We only want to staff for our needs.

I don’t understand why you are shocked? Do you want him to lie? Tell you he is keeping everyone?

It’s the NFL model. What did you do this week? How expensive are you next year? Can I get someone half as good for half the cost.

State Farm has tuition reimbursement and free education portals. Get educated. Find a new job or company. Rinse. Repeat.

More Kool aid for the lemmings that drink it. Once this offer comes through I can't wait to hand deliver my resignation.

Funny that nobody in the room would ask a question. They are all terrified of him in spite of his amazing non binary thought process. He certainly loves most about himself.

Leadership is clueless about what is going on. He got an earful at chairman’s, which is the top 5% producing agents and they don’t generally bi--h and moan because they believe they can walk on water. Correspondingly an agent omnibus survey came out a few days later asking about claims issues, am I proud to be an agent, is it financially rewarding, etc etc. plausible deniability of anything as long as everything appears good for June 6 2022 founder days.(cant lose number one on 100 th anniversary). There still are some principled people but many are leaving.

As if you were on the call, and have the slightest clue.

Be prepared for management to downplay this news as they have been for several years. We all knew this was coming. Big man just can't help but to fu-k us in the a-s.

pretty sure right after bonus times there will be a mass exodus then if its big enough to hurt the company maybe he might be inconvenienced and maybe notice but i am not holding my breath.
