There was a substantial layoff in marketing several months ago. IBM never broadcasts layoffs. They keep it very quiet and of course they just sent 90K packing with the Kynedryl spin-off. If you think it is not happening because you haven’t heard then you are naive.
You have not been paying attention The spin-off of Kyndryl sucked up almost a billion If you just go read Kyndryls financials you will see the line items. So where do you think all of the non-enterprise folks disappeared to (Power, sales, marketing, TSS, legacy OS’s, and yes even Redhat) That’s another 1.5 billion.
