None of us are qualified to make this call honestly.
It might be safe to say that if the situation continues like this for a couple more quarters, store closures and associated layoffs are on the cards.

I saw a lot of resignations in my org back when I was an employee , about 2-3 per week in a 100 person org.
Would be safe to say that one way or the other people are finding a way out.
The company might be using attrition to quietly layoff folks given the dismal financial performance. Take the advice and move on there are still some jobs out there before the recession starts.
The hiring is a risky decision in this climate with the stocks plunging like never before. A couple more quarters like this one and the company will be close to bankruptcy. Recession is going to hit the bullseye hard.
A number of HQ team’s resignation postings popped this Friday. Was there a small workforce reduction?
April 19, 2002 - Just got an email from a colleague saying that a huge group of Target mid level Creative & Mktg team got laid off. Could be Target just outsourced that work to an Ad Agency, or indications that entire teams will be cut back. Not sure.
Expect big changes at DC level. They are so over staffed, the only way to right the ship will be mass layoffs of dead weight TM. Yet, they still continue to hire????
More Layoffs....
A couple dozen layoffs today at HQ
They have over staffed DCs to the point where no one is a full time worker any longer.
