We lost so many good people last year and who's still here? Plenty of management figures who are still getting paid ten times more than they deserve while they continue to contribute nothing. They were protected by their pals while those who actually made some money for the company with their work got kicked to the curb. So don't tell me this was about saving costs long-term. If that was true, the employee composition here would be much different now.

Layoffs in general rarely get rid of any problems...
I agree with the OP completely, and this is bound to have significant negative impacts on the company. Unfortunately, when the decision-makers realize that, most of us will not still be at XOM.
@1izv+1dL6Ncoj, not surprised. They have lost at least five people last few years.
Isn't that a problem that's always been present at XOM? It is hopeless to expect something to change. They can only become even more greedy.
"If that was true, the employee composition here would be much different now." Good point.
Rumor is that yet another anr lawyer just quit. What a mess.
There's still good people left. The thing is how long will they remain here
@qqg Perhaps that wouldn't be a problem if they did their job well enough. But they are not doing it.
Top dogs can never have enough.
I’m just sick and tired of watching a good people leave.
