This question is of no real consequence; it's just and idle curiosity. Will this reduce the number of Guide Share Europe (GSE) working groups or meetings? Possibly the same forces that animated this "merger" will press against GSE?

The work of two. I was doing the work of 3-4. When they started to impact my earnings opportunity by taking away bonuses and raises, I retired early. Best thing I ever did!!!!

This is pure speculation, but consolidation usually means less management and overhead Both issues that IBM has to deal with if they are to get down to a competitive stance

Some specialist roles will now cover the whole combined region, especially tech specialists.

In theory it's good news where some skill was so specialized that neither Benelux nor Nordics alone had "critical mass".

In practice I suspect that some people will find themselves doing the work of two.

Merging regions just means merging resources. Happy Holidays.
