Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Layoffs

Everything is being discussed but the main reason we're all supposedly here. What's going on with layoffs? Has there been any news or has it been paused for now?

I heard through the grapevine that 8% is not over. Select few (hi Pos and those with sponsors) have been told that they will not be touched as a part of the 8% reduction. If you have not been told anything such, you are fair game to be pipped or laid off.

You can go through the PIP back to back but max of 3 times in 5 years so it is possible to survive if you’re willing. I was told the 8% is over but who knows, I was also told they cannot confirm it is over just yet.

Target is 8% PIP per year. Survivable first year but second year no option to work an improvement plan.

Most employees talk about the feeling of being on a year to year contract, but in fact it is like a 2 year contract.

Goal is to operate from low cost centers instead of Spring.

If you view announcements...

All those November & December retirements are layoffs.

With good reason. You guys are as boring and annoying as spam/junk mail. You've said what you had to say. Move on. There are only a few of you and you are so determined to dominate the conversation. Find other places to do so.

I would rather discuss the OSHA CCP vaccine mandate that TG just deleted.
