Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Religious exemption?

Has anyone filed a religious exemption for the vaccine? No, this isn’t some “I found a letter online I’m going to use”. I’ve been putting it off, it’s very bothersome to have to explain my faith to an employer. I understand this is necessary to determine your exemption, but looking at the questions they ask, they are clearly meant to try and trick you and paint you in a corner. Anyways, how did anyone’s exemption go after submitting it?

for the no-vaccination, increase the premiums of their health insurance! just fair, those are costing at least $70,000 average if they go to the emergency room for covid

@3rcu+1dIKChax No. They found something else for me to do so I was reassigned to WFH until further notice.

@4nus+1dIKChax My manager doesn’t have a say. I wish he had a say. Lol But I wasn’t getting a response from HR. So he helped me get the info from HR.

@3qzc+1dIKChax Isn’t it HR’s decision? Why would your boss have any say in this?

The devil owns Centene.. why would the Devil give an exemption for people that are religious? Centene wants to let ppl go so they will not have to lay off pay severance pay for your health insurance. They want to hire through temp agency outsourcing etc etc etc .. this is why they are denying your exemptions.

Just thinking out loud about religious exemptions...(and this is my own opinion based on what I know about religions.)

The only types of "religious exemptions" I believe that you could actually get approved by Centene are the types that believe NO DR-GS at all should be ingested into your body. This would including aspirin, tylenol, blood transfusions, and any kind of medical treatments that would include medicines etc. So are you trying to say you all take NO DR-GS of any kind? I would guess not. I think that those are few and far between.

They are not approving these. I submitted mine early and they “temporarily approved” it until my people leader said I needed to be vaccinated. My manager told me they weren’t approving any exemptions. Oct 18th I went to lunch and came back my badge was deactivated. So I had to get someone to let me in the building to finish out the day. Smh I already had until October 18th anyway, so Actually, the exemption was not approved. I asked them to be clear and direct with their responses as to if it was approved or not. Never got a response.

Original request was denied.
Long explanatory appeal was denied.
Questions were never answered clearly.

I hope they get the sn-t sued out of them and nothing would make me happier than to be a part of that process.

I used religious exemption.us.
Filling out a form generated a letter that explained your feelings and quoted why.

I just submitted it, so not sure if it will be approved, but it was easy to make a good case.

I submitted my religious exemption and was told by HR that religion is a philosophical idea and that it doesn’t qualify for reasons to be excluded. Take the jab or stand in the unemployment line.

I have submitted my religious exemption. I drafted my own letter and answered the form questions to the best of my ability. I did educate myself the best I could on the laws regarding religious exemptions before submitting. I used Liberty Counsel to help educate myself. https://lc.org/exempt

I also used the website https://www.thehealthyamerican.org/

I have not gotten a response from HR regarding my exemption request yet. However, if they do deny your request you have the right to appeal. The Liberty Counsel may be able to help you with that. I wish everyone the best with this process!

Regardless of how you answer, they will deny your religious exemption. It used to be " In God we trust" now it's " In Pf*zer". SMH

I not only answered the questions truthfully but also provided passages and versus for my reasoning as well as a personal statement letter explaining exactly what you are feeling. That it's worrisome to have to explain my faith and provide "reasons" to my employer who may not believe in my faith and discriminate against me depending on who reads it and can deny or approve it. I know that they are outsourcing this process to a 3rd party so there is no biases, how intrusive is that? Now some stranger not even with my company is reading this? So much for privacy! They are not suppose to pry so heavily, but they certainly have!

Yes agreed! The exemption form looked very intimidating and intrusive. My husbands company only asked him 4 simple questions that’s it!!! I feel like no matter what I put, they are going to be very judgmental and lean on the side of denying my exemption anyway! I never thought that my tenure of 10 years being with Centene has come down to this.
