Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Has anybody been successful in getting a religious exemption?

Curious if anyone has tried this route and got the exemption or were denied outright?

Per Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 2000e, and Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations - Labor, 1605.1 “Religious” nature of a practice or belief, and standards developed in U.S. Supreme Court cases: United States v. Seeger, 380 U.S. 163 (1965) and Welsh v. United States, 398 U.S. 333 (1970).

Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits employers from discriminating against an employee’s religion. Employers must make reasonable accommodations for an employee’s sincerely held religious beliefs if doing so does not impose undue hardship on the employer.

The answer is, “NO.” In all these comments, no one has given legitimate religious reasons for the no vax. Everyone’s reasons here are fear and lack of understanding of the vaccine - which although may be reasons for not getting it - they are not religious reasons. Don’t confuse the two.

Yeah , those boosters work great. Just ask CA governor Gavin Newsom once he reappears after getting his 12 days ago. Hasn’t been seen or heard from since then.

Just another coincidence….too bad it wasn’t his Aunt Nancy instead.

Man, the shills here are really working over time to try to scare people away from applying for a religious exemption. If you are considering applying for it, just do it. What have you got to lose, exactly? Don't let stupid shills who put the same copy/paste garbage in every thread scare you off.

No one has been successful in getting a religious accommodation. Why? Because Ford can see you are lying and using Religion as a fake excuse not to get vaccinated. Do you use Advil? Tylenol? Antibiotics? Antacid? If the answer is, “Yes,” those are tested from the same fetal cell lines as the Covid vax. Good golly - get the darn vax or quit and stop whining!

Please get vaccinated. The Texas Health Department has completed a study. Since mid January 2021, only 3% of Texas COVID 19 cases and of those cases, only 8% of deaths. were fully vaccinated. The vaccines do work at significantly reduce risk of infection and death.

Please put your pride or politics whatever aside get vaccinated.

@1hfk+1dHPgeTd: so you’re claiming that we DONT have evidence of how long natural immunity lasts but we DO have evidence that the brand new experimental vaccine - which never went through years of trials like every other vaccine - is more beneficial?

Also it’s not “so called” natural immunity. It’s just natural immunity. It’s a very real, very proven scientific term.

Also, you preach about not making it political. The Brandon administration did that all on their own.

Below a few supporters of the totalitarian Government not educated on the vaccine or (new definition changed by the CDC vaccination because its not a vaccine) effects of vaccine. Vaccinated still can be infected, pass and die from virus. This is a leaky vaccine that's why there's boosters+... If you research data from other Countries with 90% vaccinated you will realize that the virus is becoming worse. Read about ADE.

Have read about many who are getting Myocarditis and Pericarditis After mRNA COVID-19 Vaccination? Not! How about healthy athletes having heart attacks and some dying. (two soccer and one hockey player).

  1. 93 billion people have been vaccinated worldwide so far. I have not heard of the mass deaths, people spontaneously combusting, the mark of the beast appearing on anyone's forehead or the beginnings of the zombie apocalypse.

You want the job at Ford, they require a covid vaccine.
Everyone is free to make there own choice which I fully support.

With every choice there are degrees of consequences, positive and negative.
It is up to each individual as to how large of a consequence you are able to accept.

I've been on this site for a few years now, primarily to find out what changes are being inflicted on retirees. I'm just amazed how many are fighting getting vaccinated when the REAL issue hitting retirees is drastically rising healthcare costs. Understand that you are just contributing to the US being the highest in the world for covid deaths. Don't wait until it hits you or your family. Being vaccinated has been proven to reduce the negative affects of covid should you contract it.

Just get vaccinated. Even if you caught covid, we don't have research on how long the protection lasts from natural immunity and we do have evidence that getting vaccinated offers better protection than so called natural immunity. Stop making health political and follow the medical and scientific consensus that the vaccines are safe and effective.

Why employees of vaccine makers and congress members get exemptions but other don’t? This is what fascism looks like different rules for different class of people. Americans send their children to fight wars in other countries in name of freedom but in their country they just do what politicians tell them to do.

First of all, if you looked at the form on line on the company website, it is called Religious Accommodation, not exemption. Second,, it is more than just the fact that the vaccines use aborted fetus tissue - though it is one fact. There are several biblical references that can be used regarding these specific mRNA vaccines relating on the purity aid the human body in God’s view, and that these vaccines alter that in a Christian perspective- I’ve talked to several ordained ministers regarding that topic. Plus others I will not bore you with.
To the best I can tell, Ford had told several of us that have submitted the form they would get back to us on or before 12/8 - and that was before the enforcement date was changed to 01/04/22, and also before the latest legal ruling. My guess Ford will wait until last possible minute to approve or disapprove.

Ford has to be cautious- this can get caught up in several lawsuits no matter what they do - for instances, how can anyone at Ford determine sincere religious convictions? Are they trained theologians?? What is the basis of judgement, especially if a man can suddenly proclaim he is now she even though born a biological male and has not undergone any transition, snd is protected by law - same argument can work in favor of sudden religious conversion given the fact no one can measure what is inside someone’s heart or mind. Another lawsuit could be violation of constitutional rights, especially if the Ford employee live in states that has a non vax mandates.

No, I see this bring a big can of worms for Ford, especially if the mandate ends up getting delayed again or ruled unconstitutional . Yes, other people have said what I think will happen, just that a large chunk of those 15% will end up getting involuntarily cut in Jan sometime no matter what - then again that would’ve another lawsuit, wouldn’t it? It’s too late for Ford, they are under the spell of the ‘go woke,go broke’ crowd which will end in it’s demise. Better get out while you can regardless, by sometime in 2022. That is my plan no matter what happens…..

If your religion doesn't allow you to get a vaccine, you need a new religion.

Check this out...
"What's reasonable when it comes to a reasonable accommodation?
What one employer deems to be reasonable, another may not.

In Conway, Ark., Matt Troup, CEO of Conway Regional Health System, has granted 45 religious exemptions to employees who refused to get a COVID-19 vaccine. Their objections were largely based on the employees' beliefs that vaccines that used fetal cells in research, testing or production should not be put in their bodies.

(Public health officials say fetal cell lines developed decades ago in the laboratory were used to develop and test the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines — a common practice in pharmaceutical research. Other fetal cell lines are being used in the production of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. But the vaccines themselves do not contain any fetal cells.)

Before granting the religious exemptions, Troup sent the employees a list of 28 commonly used medicines that also used fetal cells in their research, testing or development — a list that includes Tylenol, Motrin, Tums, Ex-Lax and other medicine cabinet staples. He asked employees to attest to not be using any of those medicines."
