ZXB, really? Yes, morale is absolutely down, but you don’t see a connection between bad leadership and the situation? Who’s choice to hire management from top to bottom? Unqualified, unmotivated, no work ethic, no pride? How can associates get inspired to do their best looking at those managers? In our store we still have few who actually motivates and leads, but those who left being replaced by unimaginable lowest quality d-mb people. Fish rotting from the head.
Sound like P-t calls the Kettle black! Belk associates did not fail the company. Senior leadership teams did! We did not declare bankcruptcy and chapter 11 this year. You all did! Who is crying now?
It is not painful to be blind. It is painful not to endure blindness of executive Belk leaders! Belk made its ugly cheap beds and bankcruptcy pillows and we have to endure the pain and suffering by lying in it everyday!
Wow. Reading these comments makes me realize that it’s not the Senior Leadership team that’s failing the company.

One Belk minus Belk Liquidation= Zero Belk
I was helping customers with some cheap and ugly Christmas ties yesterday at Belk flagship store. For a moment, I though I was working at Burlington Coat Factory or Salvation Army store.
I loaned a blind Belk associate some money. It is ok though. He said he’ll pay me back next time he saw me! The blind CEO leads the blinds associates in a beautiful Belk Goodwill stores all shall fall into the ditch!!!
