Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

This is not the worst of it

I think the worst is yet to come in 2022 and lucky are those who have already left here, because everyone I know who has quit is now in much better companies. I'm not at all optimistic. I don’t see any sign that next year could finally be better for employees here. Does anyone perhaps see any reason for optimism?
I wish I wasn't right.

Those of us in Southwest Florida want Casey back!!! He was the only good supervisor we ever had. He trained us, was honest with us, actually helped us, fought for us...............not like the rubes we have now.

Lumen execs are the worst trying to cut corners over working employees having unrealistic goals. I do hope we change companies soon. They can’t be worse as the lumen dudes.

You really should be in contact with your local….they are negotiating this on a local level (which has been the case since this sl@“zzy executive team has been in charge) and “local agreements” trump national contractual agreements. My local voted emphatically NO on blackouts :$)

Weird. I've already inputed my vacation and time off and i took time in february, june, july and august. I also put in for Ocober and December before you decide to add those to your bu-----t rumor.

Not b.s at all….the company already initiated these talks with the union and my understanding is the union said no to the vacation blackouts! Pretty typical of profit mongering companies…run as lean as possible with your workforce (see layoffs for the last 5 years) and ask your burned out workers left to pick up the slack and give up more in the process. Good luck to all in the future, the actions taken (not the lip service) by this executive team is what I base my truths on!!

2022 definitely will be worse than 2021.
The rumor in 2022. They are taking away the supervision from local managers to approve technicians hours and time off.
Also control which days they can and can't have on their time off.
Lumen is planning to keep months of January, February, June, July, and August off limits for any time off.

Well that may be true but remember for 20 states Apollo will be taking over next year, and maybe they'll be better than Lumen.I really fail to see how they could be any worse considering Lumens being run by a pack of id--ts.
