Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Macy's Auto Center

I'm sitting on my couch and for some reason the thought of Macy's opening up automotive service centers just crossed my mind. You know...oil changes, tires and alignments. Alfani and Calvin Klein could collaborate on uniforms for the mechanics!

Someone should suggest this to JG.

this is a great idea !! they can have Ap watch you like a hawk while you do your job and then they can plant money on the register to see if you take it. also the managers can come out of the tire rack after 4 hours of doing nothing and say to you "customer complained " then you can people complains that the coupons don't work on tires. oh the possibly are endless !!

This is an out of the box idea. Kind of like Costco but without the warehouse feel. Something different for sure but don’t know if Macy’s would go for something like this. Being a former auto tech it’s dirty work so it’s a matter of where you would house it plus all the expense of bringing in the equipment and hiring qualified people which is another challenge Macy’s has with getting Associates

Well, if Macy's owned/leased the parking lots, they could install charging stations. Generally, speaking, you need to make good bank to afford those Tesla cars and people could shop or get a latte while charging (currently around 30min for a fast charge).
