Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Long hours

I love my job so I often forget about time and working long, long hours. Long hours are common in the industry and Intel in that sense is not much different from other companies I have worked in, but it is frustrating that this company has some employees working like crazy while others are exempt from it and do not to get tired as much. It is not at all clear to me on what principle they "choose" those who will be exempt from working for long hours?

Intel isn't a place for people who care beyond making a paycheck. And to be clear: Work will not set you free. Being politically connected will.

There are lots and lots of drones at Intel happy to do whatever mundane, wrong-from-the-start, doomed-before-it-began project that their FLM gives them if it keeps them in good graces with the powers that be. That's Intel today. Or actually for the past two decades or so. And why it's so broken.

Don't worry Pat loves the name GOD you are his slavery and he said God is our boss and work free for him. In reality, this cant is possible so in the future he is going to cut out your benefit. Soon God is everywhere at Intel.

Working long hours is okay as long as you are going to win or if you get paid.

But must suck these day to work and lose when you can go anywhere else and make similar or more and win

Doing real work at Intel is a liability, it instantly makes you a target for theft and backstabbing.

At Shitel, working hours are inversely proportional to your success at brown-nosing.
