Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Total Disaster

I started working at Gainwell months ago for one of the state medicaid accounts. These are the things ive noticed.

  1. Nobody cares
  2. The talent pool is beyond low. The programmers are terrible. I think their previous jobs were flipping burgers or cleaning houses.
  3. Pay is extremely low
  4. There are more middle managers then actual workers
  5. Most workers have no technical skills. They can barely figure out how to use video conferencing software
  6. The software we build is on framework from the early 2000s

If you have no where else you can find work this is the place for you

Veritas won't put $$$$ into anything that doesn’t produce a quick profit. They are shopping Athenahealth around for 20 billion after buying them for 5-6. They will do the same with GW and the strategy is to just put lipstick and deodorant on the pig.

Question now is who will be the "bigger fool" that falls for it.

HP and DXC did not invest in their healthcare business and what you see are the results. Gainwell at least has the opportunity to invest in the systems and staff they acquired... at this point, they may have to rebuild some of it from the ground up.

Face it the State Medicaid programs don't expect much from Gainwell anyway.

Our tax dollars down the drain.
